GRiZ Announces New Album and Tour, Releases Single “I’m Good”

Following a lengthy period of silence lasting most of 2018 to focus on his mental health, GRiZ finally returned in November with the release of two singles, “It Gets Better” and “Can’t Get Enough.” The two singles appeared to signal the beginning of an album rollout, but nothing was confirmed and many questions about his next moves remained unanswered. Now, GRiZ has answered all those questions and more with the release of “I’m Good,” the third single from his forthcoming sixth studio album ‘Ride Waves.’ The album drops on April 5th, and will be followed by a US headline tour of the same name.

“I’m Good” sees GRiZ continue to express through his music the freedom, health and happiness he is currently experiencing following his break from the public eye. He returned with a new lease on life and a new sound, all the while becoming a champion leader for LGBTQ rights—a position that has been lacking within contemporary electronic music in recent years, despite the music’s roots being firmly embedded in the gay community.

‘Ride Waves’ will contain 14 tracks and feature a wide variety of talent including right hand man Muzzy Bearr, frequent collaborator ProbCause, Snoop Dogg, Matisyahu, Wiz Khalifa and legendary jazz musician Bootsy Collins among several others. The ‘Ride Waves’ tour will take place throughout the month of May; full dates can be found here, including a stop in Brooklyn at King’s Theatre on May 10th.
