This week is full of amazing music in New York City including Showtek this Friday at Irving Plaza. The duo consists of Wouter and Sjoerd Janssen who are brothers from the Netherlands. They have been a staple in the electronic dance scene for a decade and remain relatively genre-less though their roots are in hardstyle which they are recognized for still.

Showtek is known for collaborating with world talents such as Tiesto, Major Lazer and Noisecontrollers. They have their own label called Skink which is the name of an animal that is one of the oldest in existence due to its ability to adapt. With roots in hardstyle they have a new big room signature sound that continues to influence the EDM spectrum.

On Friday Showtek will be promoting their new single “Amen” on their North American tour. In New York they will gain support from NYC local legend Dali who has his own signature style evolving from his junglist roots and music label Groove Therapy Records. It will be a perfect complement to the big room beats of Showtek.
